Download the latest version of Simflightplan™ to get the updated interface to the Garmin glass cockpit. The lastest update will attempt to work around the Garmin quirk that causes it to rename user waypoints.
Because of the renamed waypoints, Simflightplan™ is unable to resolve the “USRxx” waypoints supplied by the Garmin to the “POIxx” (or whatever) waypoints in the loaded flight plan. Simflightplan™ will now attempt to determine the current waypoint by proximity as you fly over each one.
Of course, you can also manually set the waypoints using the drop-down list or click the push pin on the map to select. In certain circumstances, Simflightplan™ may have difficulty resolving the correct waypoint if there are multiple waypoints very close together or if a waypoint falls very close (less than 1 second) to a major line of latitude or longitude.
