Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Release:
The new feature release of Flightplan is available for download now! All Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition aircraft are supported. As always, software updates and upgrades are free to all users, so download the latest version now.
Additional New Features Include:
Flightplan Summary
You can now add as much text as you want to your flight plan as you upload it. Add additional information about your waypoints, flying tips for the route or anything else you want. This summary will appear below the Title and Description (from the flight plan) when it is posted in the simflightplan.com Downloads section.

Current Waypoint Override
You can now manually select your Current Waypoint in Cockpit Map. Your aircraft distance to the “Next” waypoint will be recalculated based on your manually selected waypoint. Just double-click the green “Current” indicator to reset to the Current (Last) Waypoint according to the in-game glass cockpit. Flightplan will revert to following the progression of waypoints according to the flight plan loaded in MSFS. This allows you to add/remove waypoints in Flightplan while in flight regardless of what the glass cockpit or MSFS “thinks” your flight plan is. It can also be used to quickly determine your distance to/from any waypoint in your flight plan.

Fuel Tank Level Display
The fuel tanks display algorithm has been improved to better predict the tank locations based on the number of tanks with fuel levels. For example the A320neo has a maximum of 5 tanks (Left Wing Tip, Left Main Wing, Center, Right Main Wing and Right Wing Tip) which will be mapped accordingly if all 5 tanks have fuel levels. Otherwise, it will prioritize the most common tanks (Left Wing, Center, Right Wing) for display and “fill” the tanks in the predicted pattern. This also makes problems less likely when switching between aircraft with differing numbers/locations of fuel tanks.

IMPORTANT: In-game tank levels set and saved from the cockpit will ALWAYS be preserved, however depending on the number of tanks with fuel, the Aircraft Fuel Tanks display might mis-interpret which tanks they are. The new algorithm should more accurately depict commercial jet aircraft and helicopters.
