If after a Windows Update or reinstall, you recieve an error starting Flightplan, or Flightplan doesn’t open at all (you may receive and error in the Windows Application Event Log), you may be missing some Windows Libraries that are no longer a part of Windows Update.
To resolve this, open Windows Explorer and find your <Drive>:\Program Files\Flightplan folder and inside it there is a file called vcredist_x64.exe. This is a Microsoft C++ Redistributable file that will install the libraries that Flightplan needs. Just double-click vcredist_x64.exe to run the installer and follow the prompts. Once installed, you should be able to open Flightplan normally.
