There are 2 sets of zoom controls in Flightplan. The Map Options section in the lower right of the main window contains the default zoom level (and other settings) that the map will revert to when the map is recentered. The map recenters anytime a waypoint is selected in the grid or a pushpin clicked for example. When using Cockpit Map, GPS Follow mode constantly recenters the map as you fly and it will use the Map Options you’ve set in Flightplan as your preferred flight settings. This allows you to use the +/- (and other controls) on the map itself while in flight (to zoom in on a satellite view for example) and when you re-engage GPS Follow, the map will reset to your preferred Map Options which are also at the top of the Cockpit Map.
