After crashing your aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 you are presented with a Restart and Main Menu options allowing you to reload your flight plan and start over or just give up and try something else. But Flightplan allows you to determine the exact coordinates of your crash, which you can then use to respawn in flight. You can also set your altitude, heading, pitch, bank, etc. and (if the aircraft is so equipped), your aircraft will start in Autopilot.
In fact, Flightplan gives you access to all of the settings that control how and where your aircraft spawns. You can start anywhere on earth either using the Microsoft Flight Simulator ground elevation for your selected coordinates, or you can specify an altitude and heading if you wish to start in flight.
